UNBEATABLE HORSEBACK RIDING<\/p>\n

\u00a0Ride horses in the mountains, meadows, and by the lakes and streams of an Old West cattle ranch which is nestled along the base of the jagged Centennial Mountains.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Steep mountain trails, as well as more casual rides in the meadows and lower forests are available. Our guides are knowledgeable and fun to be with.\u00a0 Our horses are dependable, gentle, and possibly the best in the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n

You can plan on spending the\u00a0entire day here at the ranch.<\/p>\n

Along with the horseback rides that are offered, for an extra fee, you can take advantage of numerous other activities such as fishing and boating in the ranch\u2019s private lake; no license is required and the ranch will furnish the fishing gear and boats. The Eagle Ridge Ranch has a swimming pond with swing-lines, water trampolines, canoes, and paddle boats. There is skeet shooting, as well as an archery range with three-dimensional foam targets that imitate many of the animals that are hunted in Idaho. One of the favorite activities is the Dutch Oven Supper.\u00a0Some of the scheduled horseback rides actually include\u00a0 many of these extra activities at no extra cost. The horseback riding activities on the Eagle Ridge Ranch are conducted by YELLOWSTONE HORSES, a family owned and operated outfitting and guiding business that has been outfitting and guiding in the Yellowstone-Country, for over three decades! The Yellowstone Horses\u2019 guides are all well trained, licensed by Idaho Outfitters and Guides, and certified with CPR. The guides from Yellowstone Horses are seasoned horse-people, well trained in the local history, and possess excellent \u201cpeople-skills\u201d; they will make your ride very interesting.<\/b><\/p>\n

At the Eagle Ridge Ranch all of the horseback rides are destination type rides. The high mountain half-day rides are only available in the morning but the low-land rides are available in the morning, afternoon as well as the evening.\u00a0 The length of these rides differs depending on how much time is spent taking pictures, looking at wildlife, as well as the pace the group chooses to travel.

Great Family Excursion!<\/a><\/p>\n

We had a great time this August 2020 going out with our four kids (ages 11, 10, 8 and 6). We did the three hour morning tour and we had a blast. The guides were great very professional, efficient and personable. I would recommend it for any family.<\/p>\n

My husband and I, along with our 5 kids, went on the 2 hour trail ride and all enjoyed ourselves! My kids range in age from 14 to 21 and all had a ton of fun, so a nice family experience for all ages. The staff was all very nice and helpful, especially our guide Preston. The horses were calm and easy to handle, which was wonderful for our 4 first time riders. My kids also had fun swimming and canoeing in the pond after the ride. Beautiful scenery and beautiful piece of property! Would definitely go again!<\/p>\n

5 year old daughters first trail ride<\/a><\/p>\n

We took our 5 year old daughter on her first trail ride for her 5th birthday. It was AMAZING! She had the best time and so did we! We went on the 2 hour AM ride and everything was great! The horses were well behaved and well taken care of. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This was an absolutely great experience and we cannot wait to go again!<\/p>\n

We went as a family of 5 and booked online. I would recommend booking well in advance, because they are busy- and rightly so. Everyone was so friendly and reassuring. They did great easing those who were nervous into riding, very good instructions, and just an all around amazing place.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hidden Gem and the best part of Island Park!<\/a><\/p>\n

We were scheduled for a horseback ride through Yellowstone Park, but Xterra screwed up our reservations. That turned out to be a great thing because we then found Eagle Ridge Ranch! This is a hidden gem! We spend the early part of the day at the swimming pond catching tadpoles and frogs and using all the boats they had available. The kids loved the swing over the water! After drying off, we returned to the ranch for a 2 hour ride with our fabulous guide Russel. We had 3 generations of our family with us and everyone had a great time with the horses. We finished the day with the dutch over cookout, which was a perfect cap to an awesome day. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Russel deserves a special shout-out.<\/p>\n
